Part 1

“Hey Ise… Do you know of the Devil Mermaids?”

That incident started with these words from Buchou.

One day, after school after returning back from Kyoto.

We, second year students were telling the first year students, Koneko and Gasper, about what had happened in Kyoto.

“Just as I thought it must be someone from the extinct…”

“It’s amazing how the Kaichou found it.”

Meanwhile, Buchou and Akeno-san, who attended the club meeting hosted by the Student Council, came back while chatting to themselves.

Putting down the documents that were used at the meeting on the table, Buchou turned her attention toward us.

“Everyone, I’m so sorry to ask of you since the culture festival is so near but, I would like you guys to help with the club activity report.”

Club activity report? That is….

“…Are you talking about the report which you have to send back to the Underworld as a condition for Buchou to live in human world?” Koneko raised her hand and asked.

Korean Light Novel release for May include DxD DX 2

For those of you waiting for DX 2 translation, well I’ve got good news for you. Actually, two good news.

First good news is that ZX-ZX-ZX is currently translating one of the short stories from DX 2. The Student Council’s decision. I don’t know how long he’s going to take, and please don’t bother him about it either.

Second good news is that Korean light novel licensee Novel Engine (노블엔진) is releasing Korean translation of DX 2! (Here are full release for May)

But….. of course there’s a catch to that. See, I’ve got this thing called exam in May…. so i won’t be able to translate the book until exam finishes which will be at the end of May so i will be able to start translating from beginning of June. (And since all the internship places rejected me I’ll have plenty of time during summer to translate :P)

Well well well, looks like it’s that time of the year again. Spring is nearly upon us, while the weather in England refuses to let us have nice warm sunny day. It’s been busy months, exam after exam after exam, and then I have finally finished translating DxD DX! Well, that was a fun ride.

But this isn’t a post about that! I already made a post about translation months ago! and as usual, I will be listing anime that I’ve been (barely) keeping up with this season where many shows I watched because I was bored, and unlike last time, I have decided to add anime that I’ve watched this season that is not airing, so some of you can laugh at me for not watching them sooner, oh well…. (And before anyone ask, yes I haven’t watched KonoSuba, and it’s high on my list to watch. So knock it off.)

Well, without further ado, let’s get going.

Hello there, it’s daniel Yang and Alexis138.

Fuck you all.

Nah, we’re just joking. If you guys didn’t know, we have just finished translating Highschool DxD DX Volume 1, and oh man what a ride it was. And here is a small section where we would like to thank and apologize to you all at the same time for reading this translation.

Why apologize? Well, we (mainly I, daniel) are sorry that you have to wait this long for the translation. January exam was quite a pain. Also, we are sorry about the quality of the translation. Alexis has done a great job editing it. We have been on skype with each other many times for about 6 hours doing editing (he’s even editing this as well) and even then, many things slip through our eyes and ended up making it into the final version. (I mean, when I read the edit history on B-T, I feel like I should go back to GCSE English…)

Now that this is out of the way, we would like to give thanks to the readers for their patience and not being mad at us. Seriously, one of our worries was that people would just shout at us and just tell us to go fuck ourselves (especially on reddit. We know how savage people can be there.) But you know what? You guys are awesome and are definitely not savage (from what we can see anyway.)

And before anyone asks, yes we are thinking of translating DX 2 as well. We will do it as soon as they are available in Korean and when we’ve got time to spare. (Another £15 gone with international shipping :P)

And we are currently creating a PDF of the entire DX volume.

We would like to give a huge shoutout to moderators and readers at /r/HighschoolDxD, including the past and current mods. You guys are awesome.

Also shout out to zx-zx-zx and Code Zero for their support! Keep up the good work, Sir!

Afterword

To those who picked up Highschool DxD series with this [DX] volume, I am pleased to meet you. To those who have read the main volumes, it has been awhile, Ichiei Ishibumi here.

We have finally made new side volumes of the Highschool DxD franchise, DX volumes. The main focus of the DX volumes is short stories that have been published in the Dragon Magazines previously. Furthermore, for the newly written stories (for the DX series), I am planning to bring up “dream matches” and “dream-like moments” which can’t be done in the main series

So then, I shall introduce each story with the related timeline to the main story.

Life DX. Phoenix of the Battle School Building DX?

This happened one day after school.

Rias and Ravel showed up at the ORC club room talking to each other while playing chess. They were concentrating on playing chess a moment ago but it seems like they are having more fun talking to each other now. Sometimes they would be laughing while other time, being serious.

“…If Xenovia-sama or Rossweisse-sensei were there at that time, maybe at the pool side….”

Ravel said in an excited voice and….

“That sounds fun but if it was up to me, I would have made Gasper…”

Rias thought while she placed her piece with a smile on her face.

It seems like instead of actually playing chess against Ravel, she is only using the chess pieces as tool to explain her thoughts. Maybe because of this, all chess pieces roam freely around the board rather than just following their designated moves.

Good Bye, Autumn 2015

Wow, this season felt like it had only started last week or so! Maybe that means I had fun, or maybe it just means I was so busy with work I didn’t even notice that time has gone by this fast. Well anyway, with that said. It seems like I watched quite a decent amount to anime considering I had University taking most of my free time, mainly thanks to University Anime (Shoutout to Southampton University Anime Club!) Considering one of the shows I’ve been watching has already finished, I thought I would write quick post about what I’ve been watching from this season. Most of them are already in this post but thanks to recommendations from fellow otakus, there are some new entries, and oh boy, was it great?!
